Each year the Foundation recognizes the work of a dedicated local health worker whose actions have improved the lives of low-income families in Orange County. This year?s recipient was Emily Mills Johnson, MD., who selected Olive Crest Abused Children?s Foundation to receive the $5,000 grant in her honor.

Insure the Uninsured Project

To support efforts to increase access of low-income children to health insurance, the Foundation, OC Health Care Agency, InfoLink and Safe Healthcare Coalition of Orange County designed wallet-size brochures, promoting access to affordable health services in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. With Foundation funding, these brochures have been distributed for Public Health Week, Insure the Uninsured Week and other Countywide outreach efforts.
