Healthy Orange County

This program provides 18% of the Foundation's Hospital Legacy Fund funding directly to community-based non-profit organizations or collaboratives, to address identified health priorities. The funding level may vary based on project needs, within resource limits.

Funding during 2008 - 2009 will focus on pediatric development disabilities and delays as well as other healthcare gaps identified by nonprofit agencies. Grants are limited to applicants located in or having programs operating within the Foundation's primary service area of Santa Ana, Tustin, Orange and Anaheim, or which otherwise serve populations previously served by United Western Medical Center's (UWMC) hospitals.

The grant filing deadline for this grant cycle is Tuesday, August 5, 2008, with Foundation Board review occurring on Wednesday, Septebmer 24, 2008. Click here for the current Healthy Orange County Request for Proposals (RFP).
