Giving Programs

The HealthCare Foundation for Orange County currently manages three funds from which it makes grants. They are:

• The Hospital Legacy Fund is dedicated to improving the health status and increasing health care access for low-income families in central Orange County. Giving through this Fund's two programs total approximately $700,000 per year:
  • Partners for Health
  • Healthy Orange County
• The Gold Fund for Health has a broader scope, but more limited resources. In 2001, Gold Fund giving will focus primarily on services to increase awareness of breast cancer and access to needed diagnosis and treatment services. A portion of these funds may be used for other health information efforts countywide. Giving target: $30,000.
